About Us
Match Remodeling is a team born of passion. All four key team members enjoyed accomplished and rewarding careers, and they all took the leap to become part of something greater. Clients are struck by their collaborative dynamic and seamless flow of ideas, and the team’s collective good cheer and camaraderie ease the stress inherent in any remodeling project.
When a homeowner envisions a remodeling team that will bring good vibes into their home, obsess about details that make a project shine, and be accountable to the client, to the work and to each other, they envision Match Remodeling.
Meet the Team
David Posternack
PRINCIPAL,
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
Whitney Posternack
PRINCIPAL,
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Classmates at Harriton High School in Lower Merion, Whitney and David lost track of each other until their mid-30s, when they reconnected over beers at Standard Tap.
Whitney, a graduate of Syracuse University’s School of Visual and Performing Arts, was a senior graphic designer at one of Philadelphia’s largest architecture and engineering firms. David had recently moved back to Philly and begun a second career, following his dreams by practicing carpentry and learning residential renovations with a local home remodeler.
Those catch-up drinks in 2007 soon led to marriage and two children, Maddie and Charlie (“Ma+Ch”). And their shared passion for residential design and construction naturally led to the launch of Match Remodeling in 2012. Working closely as a team, David handled project construction and the business side of things while Whitney moonlighted for their clients, providing detailed design plans and sourcing finishes for their projects. Whitney joined Match full-time in 2021, enhancing our client experience by simplifying the design process and minimizing decision fatigue.
Glenn Perlman
LEAD CARPENTER
Glenn Perlman is a lifetime craftsman at the top of his game. Before joining Match, Glenn was the Technical Director at Philadelphia’s Arden Theatre, where he worked for nearly 20 years. As TD, Glenn led a team responsible for all aspects of set construction and technical operations for the theater. He applies those TD techniques to his work at Match, visualizing our projects and mapping the course to build them. Clients are wowed by his patience, unshakeable positive attitude and commitment to his craft, which he’s been honing since building decks and theater scenery in high school. At Match, Glenn manages the day-to-day construction of our projects, collaborates and problem-solves with our designer, and good-naturedly tolerates the project manager’s reminders that we’re not a non-profit theater. He takes particular joy in not having to deconstruct his work at the end of each project.
Georgia Schlessman
CARPENTER
Georgia Schlessman brings almost 20 years carpentry and construction experience to our production team. Working professionally for organizations including the Wilma Theater and 1812 Productions, Georgia was the go-to for set construction and carpentry, stage and production management, and custom technical applications for complex productions. In fact, her high school co-op internship was spent under Glenn’s tutelage, building sets at the Arden Theatre. Georgia tirelessly works shoulder-to-shoulder with Glenn on every aspect of our projects, from demo to carpentry to drywall and paint. Clad in workboots with bright lilac laces, Georgia is the envy of many of Match’s clients and colleagues, awed by her agility with framing guns and ease with complicated carpentry details.
